When a person takes a bullet for you what does it mean? Does it mean you rejoice for the near miss and move on with your life or does it mean you acknowledge the sacrifice of that person who under no circumstances owes you neither a dime nor a favour to the point of having to risk his or her own life for you.
The key principles or values of this act are “love” and “compassion”.
This is what our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ did for us today. He put his life on the line that our transgression and sins may be washed away and our spirits would be made anew with a purposeful meaning.
Yet the world today what do we find ourselves doing? Right after the day, more so, right back in the evening we find ourselves neglecting this act of goodness and go back doing the same things our Saviour had died for.
Let us today in the depths of our hearts, pray and reflect on the significance of our Saviour’s sacrifice for our lives and mankind and realise that indeed we are BLESSED!
Attach meaning and live in purity!
